Our Kindergarten has now been established for over 27 years. Initially based in Leigh town centre, due to our success we relocated to larger premises in Hindley Green where we have now been providing quality childcare for the past 17 years.
At Kate's Kindergarten we pride ourselves on providing care in a homely environment with our extensive garden area which is ideal for learning through play all year round.
Our allotment and sensory gardens allow children the opportunity to enjoy planting and growing flowers, or to simply study nature in a quiet, reflective area. We focus very much on outdoor provision, ensuring that our children access many areas of learning and opportunity that they may not experience in more urban settings. The benefits are amazing and our children love it, especially our fruit orchard where the children can pick and eat the fruit that they help us to grow.
In accordance with Ofsted guidelines, we follow the Early Years Foundation stage throughout the nursery ensuring all children achieve their individual potential in all areas of learning. Plus we have many entertaining events for the children throughout the year including a summer mini-Olympics, and of course the traditional Christmas nativity play.
Children are introduced to the nursery environment by a series of "taster sessions" which we highly recommend. These are free and parents are invited to stay and be reassured of our daily practice.
Parents are welcome to call and view anytime, there's no need to make an appointment.
"Choosing your child's nursery for any family is a big decision. Handing over the responsibility of your child, their personal welfare, safety, comfort and development needs can be difficult for some parents. I have been fortunate enough to find a wonderfull nursery in Kate's Kindergarten. My child was non-verbal when he started nursery - my son is now showing amazing progress. My appreciation of the nursery is difficult to express in words as what they have done for both of my sons is truly wonderful and goes beyond the normal expectations of any parent. Keep up the good work Kate's Kindergarten, and I hope all your hard work will be recognised by others."
